Making Ghee, a Homemade Clarified Butter, is easier than you think and much cheaper than buying at the supermarket.
Ghee Homemade Clarified Butter
Homemade Ghee is so fragrant than butter and can go anywhere you would use butter.
- 1/2 pound unsalted butter (500g)

Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
Skim the foam that rises to the surface.
When the butter changes color from light to yellow to deep gold and the solid particles drop to the bottom, remove from the heat.
Strain over a heatproof bowl and line with cheesecloth or coffee filter.
Pour the ghee into a jar and store room temperature or in the fridge.
